LETTER OF AGREEMENT

between

AMERICA WEST AIRLINES, INC.

and the

FLIGHT ATTENDANTS

in the service of

AMERICA WEST AIRLINES, INC.

as represented by the

ASSOCIATION OF FLIGHT ATTENDANTS

AFL-CIO

LAS & CMH RESERVE BASES

THIS LETTER OF AGREEMENT is made and entered into in accordance with the provisions of the Railway Labor Act, as amended, by and between America West Airlines, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"), and the FLIGHT ATTENDANTS in the service of AMERICA WEST AIRLINES, INC., as represented by the ASSOCIATION OF FLIGHT ATTENDANTS, AFL-CIO (hereinafter referred to as the "Union").

A.     The Company may continue to base Flight Attendants in LAS and CMH for the purposes of Reserve coverage.

B.     Flight Attendants stationed in LAS and CMH may also be assigned to variable staffing trips and irregular operations.

C.    Unless otherwise provided in the Agreement, a Flight Attendant stationed in LAS or CMH shall be entitled to all the rights and benefits of the Agreement as if LAS and CMH were domiciles.

D.   Reserve Flight Attendants stationed in LAS and CMH on the effective date of the Basic Agreement will be "grandfathered" at the minimum monthly guarantee of seventy-five (75) hours. This "grandfathered" minimum guarantee shall expire if said Flight Attendant(s) transfers to another location or changes jobs. Any Flight Attendant(s) transferring to LAS or CMH after the effective date of the Basic Agreement will receive a minimum monthly guarantee of seventy (70) hours.

E.     In the event the Company opens a Flight Attendant domicile in LAS or CMH, such opening shall be treated as a new domicile opening under the terms of this Agreement. Flight Attendants stationed in LAS or CMH shall have the first right to positions in their respective domicile at the initial opening. Seniority in the new LAS or CMH domicile will be pursuant to Section 19, Seniority.
