The bid will close at 0900 on the 7th day and be awarded by 1800 on the 8th day. The awards, listed by ID Number, will appear in the regular bid packet distributed on the 13th day of the month. 2. A Flight Attendant who fails to bid or who cannot hold her/his bid will be assigned a training date after all other training slots have been awarded. 3. A Flight Attendant will not be assigned training during her/his scheduled vacation group. 4. Once the training bid has been awarded and posted, it is the Flight Attendant’s responsibility to verify the date(s) and time(s). A Flight Attendant will attend training only on her/his scheduled date, time and location. 5. A Flight Attendant’s training base month may be changed by the Company. Notification of such change will be provided promptly to the Flight Attendant. A Flight Attendant may request to change her/his training base month due to medical reasons by contacting her/his Inflight supervisor. 6. A Flight Attendant on a leave of absence/OJI may, at her/his request, attend training if approved in advance by the Inflight Department in accordance with Company policy. B. TRADES Flight Attendants may trade training dates that fall within the same bid month with each other. All trades must be submitted to Bid Administration by 0900 on any business day prior to the training date(s). This submission will be by hand-delivery or by fax until such time as the Company implements an automated submission method. If training falls on a Sunday or Monday, the trade must be processed no later than the business day before the training date. Trades will not be approved if they create a scheduling conflict. C. REST Each Flight Attendant will receive twelve (12) hours minimum rest prior to and after scheduled training. A Flight Attendant may elect to waive minimum rest in order to schedule training adjacent to a scheduled shift, if the total time on scheduled duty does not exceed fourteen (14) hours. D. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 1. A Flight Attendant is responsible for maintaining her/his flight qualifications by completing all FAA required training. 2. The Company may establish additional mandatory training, and the Flight Attendant will be obligated to complete such training. 3. A Flight Attendant whose qualifications have lapsed will be placed on authorized unpaid time off (AUTO) status and removed from Inflight duties until FAA required training has been completed. A Flight Attendant removed from Inflight duties will be placed in the next scheduled training class with an available slot, but in no event will placement occur later than the end of the next bid period in which the training is conducted. It is the Flight Attendant’s responsibility to contact Bid Administration to receive her/his new training dates. 4. Flight Attendants in Requalification Status will make arrangements with their Inflight Supervisor and Bid Administration to schedule mandatory training prior to returning to the line. It is the Flight Attendant’s responsibility to contact Bid Administration to schedule mandatory training. Requalification Status will restrict a Flight Attendant from bidding as follows: A Flight Attendant must have successfully completed training by 1200 hours one (1) day prior to the bid due date for the upcoming monthly bid in order for her/his bid to be honored. A Flight Attendant who has not completed training prior to the due date for the upcoming monthly bid may be assigned a Blank Relief Line, seniority permitting, so long as she/he has successfully completed training by 1500 hours one (1) day prior to the date the Company begins the Relief Lineholder adjustment process. A Flight Attendant in Requalification Status who has not completed training prior to these dates will be assigned to Reserve status once qualified. 5. A Flight Attendant who fails to attend training for any reason, or does not complete or pass all mandatory training required as a prerequisite to the training will be rescheduled into the next scheduled training class with an available slot. In no event will the rescheduled training occur later than the end of the next bid period in which training is being conducted. It is the Flight Attendant’s responsibility to contact Bid Administration to receive her/his new training dates. 6. If a Flight Attendant misses all or part of a scheduled day of training, she/he will be rescheduled for the missed day of training, provided the curriculum on the rescheduled day is identical to the curriculum on the day missed and the training is completed in the same base month. If the aforementioned reschedule is not possible, the Flight Attendant will be rescheduled for the entire training program. Flight Attendants will receive compensation, if applicable, for training only after successfully completing the training program. 7. If a Flight Attendant fails to attend or does not successfully complete training by the last day of her/his established base month, the Flight Attendant will be placed in Requalification Status and will be restricted from performing Inflight duties. 8. This Subsection D., is intended to address procedural matters related to missing, completing or attending training and does not address discipline or discharge under Company policy or the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. E. CANCELED OR RESCHEDULED TRAINING . 1. If the Company cancels or reschedules a previously scheduled training class after the final adjusted lines are posted, the Flight Attendant will be placed on Guaranteed Reserve for those days originally scheduled for training and paid the greater of the training or the rescheduled trip. The Flight Attendant will be afforded the opportunity to choose from the remaining available training slots. In the event the Company and the Flight Attendant cannot mutually agree upon a replacement training date(s), the Company will assign the Flight Attendant to training. In the event the replacement training takes place on originally scheduled days off, the Flight Attendant may opt to forfeit the training credit and receive the originally scheduled training days off without pay. If the replacement training takes place on days when the Flight Attendant is assigned to a trip, she/he shall be paid the greater of: the original trip credit; the training credit; or the combination of the training credit and rescheduled trip credit. If the conflicting trip covers multiple days, the Flight Attendant shall be placed on Guaranteed Reserve for any days on which she/he is not assigned to training. 2. In the event the training is rescheduled due to an action of the Flight Attendant and a pairing(s) conflict exists with the new training date(s), the Flight Attendant will be responsible for recovering any lost credit, or her/his guarantee shall be adjusted. F. TRAVEL TO TRAINING In the event training is accomplished at a location other than the Flight Attendant’s domicile, the following will apply. 1.
